THE SHAKESPEAREAN THEATER
المسرح الشيكسبيري


Before Shakespeare's time and during his boyhood, groups of actors performed wherever they could—in halls, courts, courtyards, and any other available open spaces.
في طفولة شكسبير كان مجموعة من الممثلون يقومون بتمثيل أي مسرحية في الساحات " halls " و البلاط و فنائاته و الأماكن المتاحة المفتوحة الأُخرَى ..

Elizabethan theaters were generally built after the design of the original Theatre. Built of wood, these theaters comprised three rows of seats in a circular shape, with a stage area on one side of the circle.
وكان المسرح الإليزابيثي عامّةً قد بُني بعد بناء المسرح الأصلي . والذي بُني من الخشب " wood " وهذه المسارح تتألّف من ثلاثة صفوف من المقاعد " three rows of seats " بشكل دائري بالإضافه إلى مدرّجات بجانب الدائرة .

Performances took place during the day, using natural light from the open center of the theater. audiences relied on the actors' lines and stage.
اداء المسرحيات كان يتم في النهار , بالاعتماد على الضوء الطبيعي من المساحة المفتوحة . كان الجمهور يعتمد على تحركات الممثلين و تعبيرات المسرح .

One important difference between plays written in Shakespeare's time and those written today is that Elizabethan plays were published after their performances and sometimes even after their authors' deaths. The scripts were in many ways a record of what happened on stage during performances, rather than directions for what should happen.
والفرق الأهم ما بين المسرحيات التي كُتبت في وقت شكسبير و تلك التي تكتب اليوم أن المسرحيات الإليزابيثية " Elizabethan plays " ) الشكسبيرية نُشرت " published " بعد أدائها "after their performances" و أحيانا حتى بعد موت كتّابها. و كانت بطريقة أو بأخرى سجلاً لما كان يحدث على الخشبة في ذلك الوقت لا ما يجب أن يحدث .

Shakespeare's plays were published in various forms and with a wide range of accuracy during his time. The discrepancies between versions of his plays from one publication to the next make it difficult for editors to put together authoritative editions of his works.
و كانت مسرحيات شكسبير قد نُشرت بأشكال مختلفة و بجوده عاليه من الدقة في عصره , و كانت التناقضات الكبيرة ما بين إصدارات مسرحياته من الواحدة إلى التي تليها يجعل من الصعب على المحررين أن يضعوا طبعات موثوقة "authoritative "

(the First Folio of Shakespeare's plays contains 36 plays) or smaller quartos. Folios were so named because of the way their paper was folded in half to make a large volume. Quartos were smaller, cheaper books containing only one play.
. و كانت أول مطوية لشكسبير تحتوي على 36 مسرحيّة أو كتيّبات " quartos " أصغر حجماً, وسُميّت المطويات بهذا الإسم " Folio " لأن أوراقها كانت مطويّة من المنتصف لتجعل منها مجلداً كبيراً.

Although Shakespeare's language and classical references seem archaic (old) to many readers today, they were accessible to his contemporary audiences. His viewers came from all classes and his plays appealed to all kinds of sensibilities.
وعلى الرغم من أن لغة شكسبير و المراجع الكلاسيكيّة تبدوا قديمة " archaic " للكثير من القراء هذا اليوم إلا أنهم استطاعوا الاستمتاع بها كجمهور عصره . وكان متابعوه ينتمون لجميع الطبقات و ناشدت مسرحياته جميع الأحاسيس.


About Macbeth : لمحه عن ماكبث

The material for Macbeth was drawn from Raphael Holinshed's Chronicles of England, Scotland, and Ireland (1587). Despite the play’s historical source, however, the play is generally classified as tragedy rather than a history. This derives perhaps from the fact that the story contains many historical fabrications.
و مسرحية ماكبث(محتوى القصة) "Macbeth material for " أُخذت من وقائع إنجلترا و سكوتلندا و إيرنلندا للكاتب رافاييل هولينشد. و على الرغم من مصدر المسرحية التاريخي فقد صُنّفت المسرحية ك تراجيديا tragedy بدلاُ من أن تصنّف على أنها مسرحية تاريخية .و هذا مُستمد من حقيقه أن المسرحية احتوت على الكثير من الفبركة والإفترائات على التاريخ" fabrications "


Indeed, there are other reasons why the play is considered a tragedy rather than a history. One reason lies in the play's universality. Rather than illustrating a specific historical moment, Macbeth presents a human drama of ambition, desire, and guilt.
في الواقع هناك أسباب أُخرى لماذا اعتبرت القصّة تراجيديّة بدلا من أن تكون تاريخيّة و أحد الأسباب يكمن في عالمية المسرحية " universality " ) كونها عالمية ( إذ أنها لا تمثل حقبه تاريخية بعينها " specific historical moment " مثلت ماكبث الدراما الإنسانية مع الطموح " a human drama of ambition " , والرغبة " desire " والذنب"guilt " .


Given that Macbeth is one of Shakespeare's shortest plays, some scholars have suggested that scenes were excised (removed) from the Folio version and subsequently lost.
و بالنظر إلى ماكبث كواحدة من أقصر مسرحيات شكسبير , افترض بعض الدارسون بأن هناك مشاهد قد حّذفت" excised " من الإصدار المطويّة " the Folio version " وفُقدت بعد ذلك .


A non-sequitur : is a statement, remark, or conclusion that does not follow naturally or logically from what has been said.
A non-sequitur : تعني أي جمله , أو تعليق أو كلام , أو خاتمه لا تتبع منطقياً ما قيل قبلها
