Profession: when Jack asks to marry Gwendolen, lady Bracknell asks him what profession he has. She was specified if he smokes or not. She considers smoking as a good sign for a man.

Parent relation: when he mentions that he was found in station and he does not have any parents. She says losing one parent is an accident but losing two this is of course careless. So, he was careless enough to lose both parents, and he has until the summer to bring at least one of his parents.

Marriage: Gwendolen (or Cecily) says that the minute she heard the name I feel in love with him, I was about to fall in love with somebody called Ernest because this is the only name I can trust because it means serious.

Family relation: when Jack knows that Lady Bracknell is his aunt, he asks her about his father's name. She replies the only thing she knows about the father is his first name and he worked in the army. He goes to the army and asks about the last name of an officer worked at that year. Lady Bracknell does not know anything about her brother in-law.

Religion: Jack asks the priest to change his name in a ceremony specified for children.
